Description

The UIF 2026 Learnership Programme is offered via the Labour Activation Programme (LAP), in partnership with the Department of Employment & Labour and the Ubuntu Institute. This 12-month Contact Centre Learnership aims to give unemployed UIF contributors accredited training, practical workplace exposure, and a pathway into the contact-centre industry. It targets young people seeking to enter customer-service and call-centre roles.

Responsibilities

  • Participate fully in the 12-month learnership training
  • Complete all assigned tasks, training modules, and practical work placements
  • Learn and apply contact-centre/customer-service skills, work standards, and professionalism
  • Attend any required in-class or on-the-job training sessions
  • Adhere to rules and standards of the UIF LAP and host employer
  • Demonstrate punctuality, responsibility and willingness to learn and adapt
  • Maintain communication, submit required documentation, and meet all programme obligations

Qualifications

  • South African citizen aged 18–28
  • Unemployed at time of application
  • Must not already be in a learnership or internship
  • Previous UIF contributor (beneficial/required)
  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent
  • Interest in call-centre or customer service roles
